What a nice arcade you got there. The ai enemy feels very good. It has a good movement pattern and doesn't loop. A thing I noticed is that you don't necessarily necessarily need to move that much, maybe you have an idea how to change that.

Ayeeee nice job with the art baby! This is a cute fun little game :D I really like the little spiders ;D and I also like how the WonderBoy shakes when it doesn't work!
Really cool game! I like how it's a "Wonderboy" you play on. Nice touch with turning it on!
However, when I turned it off in the middle of playing, the game crashed I think.
I also noticed when playing that the best tactic was to just stand still and spam the shoot button. I think if you added a crouching function it would add a whole new layer to the game, so you can duck the bullets and fire low bullets. Also I think it would be more satisfying if I fired everytime I pressed the button.
I also don't really see that much about intentional bugs here, but maybe I'm missing something?
But really cool game though! I like this versus type game.

I thought I did pretty good with the theme, the are some spiders crawling around the map as you play the WonderBoy and there are some intentional bugs with the gameplay that probably just feel like regular bugs, but my attempt was to make an old hand held aesthetic.
You super right about the crouch stuff, I was gonna add that, just didn't have time unfortunately.

I have an idea or two about how to make the AI feel better
1- Need to still take more time to balance his movement variables
2- Need to add a crouch function & animation
3- Need to fix these super jumps he gets (unintentional bug)

Awesome Game! It's a lot of fun and I really like the art style. Looking forward to see what you will do with this project in the future.
Someone already said it but I think a crouch option would be great.
btw spiders are not bugs. still cool to have them in the game tho
